This no knead bread recipe is absolutely awesome for a couple reasons. The first is that it tastes great, and the second is that it requires very little effort. The only equipment you need is a bowl, a whisk, a wooden spoon, and a dutch oven with a lid.

Ingredients:

Bread Flour - 400g

Yeast - ¼ tsp

Table Salt - ¾ tsp
(or 1 ½ tsp kosher salt)

  1. Combine the bread flour and the yeast, add the salt with 315ml (1 ⅓ cups) room temperature water, then mix it all together with a wooden spoon

  2. Cover and leave at room temperature for 18 - 24 hours

  3. Turn the dough out on to a floured work surface, then repeatedly pull the corners towards the centre until you have a taut and smooth dough.

  4. Shape into a ball by pushing the edge of your hand into the base of the dough and pulling towards you, then place the ball of dough onto a sheet of parchment paper

  5. Place a floured tea towel on top of the dough and leave for 90 minutes, and set your oven to its highest temperature and place the dutch over inside

  6. After 90 minutes, score the top of the dough and trim the parchment paper to a square slightly bigger than the ball of dough

  7. Remove the dutch oven, and gently lower the dough (still on the parchment paper) inside

  8. Liberally spray with water, put the lid on, and place in the hot oven for 15 minutes

  9. After 15 minutes remove the lid, spray liberally with water again, then bake for another fifteen minutes uncovered

  10. After it’s baked for 30 minutes overall, and it looks like the picture above, remove and place on a cooling rack.

  11. Let cool, then enjoy!
